I'm an individual who loves to give back to others. I'm deeply committed to giving back to my community and have been actively involved in volunteering with esteemed organizations, including Sandy Hook Promise, Vera House, Hartford Healthcare, and Fidelco.
Fidelco Guide Dogs
Fidelco is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals who are blind or visually impaired by providing them with expertly trained guide dogs to support their independence and mobility. During my summer internship at Kaman, I had the privilege of contributing to Fidelco by assisting with various tasks such as painting walls and crafting dog toys from recycled materials alongside fellow interns.
Vera House
Vera House is a nonprofit organization based in New York that works to end domestic and sexual violence, offering support and advocacy services to survivors and their families, as well as education and prevention programs aimed at promoting healthy relationships and preventing violence in the community. Vera House has been a cornerstone of my volunteer efforts for over two years and has such a large impact in the Syracuse community. Witnessing the profound impact of their work continues to inspire me and has shaped me into the person I am today.
Hartford Healthcare
Hartford HealthCare is a Connecticut-based healthcare system that offers a wide range of medical services, ranging from hospitals to outpatient care centers. They focus on providing high-quality, comprehensive care to patients across the state. Last semester, I collaborated with Hartford Healthcare to develop infographics aimed at raising awareness for dementia and Alzheimer's within their Alzheimer's unit, furthering my dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
